This is what has driven the Aço Cearense Group for over 40 years in the Brazilian steel market. With a portfolio of 16,000 active customers across the country, the Group stands out for its growth and representativeness achieved in the steel market. It is a regional leader in the sector, with a production capacity of 1 million tons of steel per year and a turnover of R $ 3.6 billion in 2020.
Throughout its history, the Aço Cearense Group has expanded and diversified its operations, with four companies and an institute operating in Ceará, Pará and Tocantins:
In Fortaleza (CE), is the Steel Cearense Comercial, the first company of the Group, created in 1979. Its structure and sales force position the Group as the largest independent distributor of steel and its derivatives in Brazil. In Caucaia (CE), is the Cearense Industrial Steel, focused on the flat steel segment, with two plants with a production capacity of 623 thousand tons per year. Also in the capital of Ceará is the Instituto C Censense Steel Institute, responsible for putting into practice actions to provide opportunities for transformation and social inclusion based on education, culture, sports and entrepreneurship.
In the North region, in Marabá (PA), operates the Siderúrgica Norte Brasil S.A. – SINOBRAS, which produces long steel and has an installed capacity of 380 thousand tons per year. SINOBRAS Florestal is located in Tocantins, which has 16 own farms with eucalyptus plantations for the production of bioenergetic reducer for SINOBRAS.
